LG GT505: Add one more feather in your cap

If rumours are to be headed the LG GT505 is slotted to be available exclusively with Orange. We will have to wait and see if the sim-less version does come out in the course of time. The handset faces obvious competition from the likes of HTC TouchPro 2, but I assume that the GT505 will be a lot more cheaper. It is a 3rd Generation touch phone with a 3.0 inch display screen that has an accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate. The touchscreen is A-class touch UI.

The GPS system in the LG GT505 has A-GPS support and has Wise pilot turn by turn navigation software. I am pretty hung on the Wise pilot but sadly though it comes only as a month long trial. I would have really appreciated LG if they have this feature without making it payable or otherwise it would have been wiser for them to not introduce the feature at all. Whatever, I am sure that the Wise pilot will have a considerable following considering its utility.

I am also not sure of the battery specifications and have got no word for it as of now. Any handset with the latest features must have a well developed battery or less be a handicap. Hope the LG GT505 does just fine. Equipped with a class10 GPRS and 3G HSDPA of 3.6 Mbps, the device is also Wi-Fi enabled. The exact dimensions and weight have not been made public but by official pictures, I quite like the looks and the large display.

The 5 MP camera should do good but it would be pointless to keep it at par with other high-end models particularly the ones with higher MP count. Lot many other features are combined in the handset like Push email, FM stereo, Geo-tagging, MP3/ MPEG4 player, Voice memo, Video-call, Document viewer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF) and organizer. There are also a range of applications available in the LG GT505 to work with social networking sites. Now that could be interesting to be updated 24/7 on the friends and associates lists.
